(Al-Hajj) 22 : 27

And you call the people for pilgrimage, they will come to you on foot and every lean camel; they will come from every distant pass.

‘Lean camel’ in this verse doesn’t mean that one should select a lean camel for pilgrimage, but due to the long fatigue journey and lack of water and food camels will become lean.

Messenger Ibrahim was ordered only to call the people all over the world for the pilgrimage (Hajj) from Masjid-Al-Haram. It is the Lord of the universe who made the call of Ibrahim reaching to the people all over the world. That is why pilgrims chanting in the pilgrimage as follows: “I am replying to Your call, Oh Allah, I replied to You. I replied to You that You have no patrons, I replied to You; indeed all Praises, all Favors, and all Kingship are for You, You have no patrons”.
